POOLEAN

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2026

Poolean is a private, admin-run tracker for one basketball group. This policy explains what it collects and how that data is used.

What we collect

Your name as it appears on the roster, the PIN you sign in with, the profile photo you choose to set, a phone number if you give one (so the host can text you about a party), your party check-ins, your votes, your comments, poker settlements you take part in, and game stats the host records from film. If you turn notifications on, a push token for this device. No tracking, no ads, no analytics SDKs.

Location

Joining a party checks that your phone is at the party address. That check runs on your phone and only the result (checked in or not) is saved. Your location is never stored or sent anywhere else, and it is never read in the background.

Where it lives

Everything is stored on a server the developer runs (PocketBase on a Linode machine in the United States) and is served through Cloudflare. Push notifications go through Apple and Expo. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone for their own use.

Who can see it

Adam Mirmina builds and runs Poolean and can see everything stored on its server, your phone number and comments included. He looks only to run the group, keep the app working, answer something you send, or review a report.

How it's used

Only to run the app: signing you in, showing the rankings and stats, letting the group check in and vote at parties, and sending the notifications you asked for.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays while your account is active. Delete your account from the You tab (Delete my account): it removes your sign-in, PIN, phone number, and photo at once, and takes you off the roster. Game results you played in stay as part of the group's record under your first name. You can also email adammirmina@gmail.com and it's handled within 24 hours.
